Job Summary

The Inventory Control Coordinator keeps the inventory transactions on point along with receiving and inspecting (QC) the physical inventory as it arrives in the studio. The incumbent will be working hand in hand with Fulfillment dept. to solve discrepancies and coordinate backorders. If you are someone that will take initiative to find solutions and is tenacious enough to follow the errors through to solution, this may be the perfect opportunity for you!

Responsibilities

  • Receive/unpack product while cross-referencing packing slips and entering inventory into the system.

  • Maintain accurate weekly records of damaged products and reports back to the production manager.

  • Order new stock based on re-order points and maintain adequate stock levels.

  • Provide inventory reports to Purchasing, Ops and Ecomm Managers.

  • Conduct frequent spot-checks and partial audits of physical inventory.

  • Allocate inventory (branches, fulfillment center).

  • Organize and execute physical quarterly inventory audits with the help of the team.

  • Review invoices for payment approval.

  • Assist with month/year-end inventory reports and maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts.

  • Assist with identification, investigation and resolution of quantity discrepancies between stock and records.

  • Provide root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies and work with the manager on improvement plans to permanently resolve issues.

  • Manage RTV (Return to Vendor) process.

  • Receive all incoming products ensuring the accuracy of order and Quality Control.

  • Manage backordered, out of stock, slow-moving inventory.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Self-starter with 1-2 years experience.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Open and willing to learn new technologies.

  • Acute attention to detail required.

  • Ability to work independently and as a part of team.

  • You are an excellent and open communicator - both written and verbal.

  • Experience working with Cin7 or similar inventory system.

  • You don’t need to be micromanaged; you know your responsibilities and take the initiative to accomplish them.

  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.

  • Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.

  • We are located in Toronto’s trendy Corktown neighbourhood with easy access by transit and free on-site parking.

  

This is a full time, permanent, on-site position. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
